Copper Canyon

This tour combines both beach and mountain scenery into one incredible breath-taking adventure. Ride in comfort aboard the Chihuahua-Pacifico,
a first-class train which crosses 39 bridges, 86 tunnels, and delivers you into the overwhelming site
of Copper Canyon.

• Day 1 - 2 Chihuahua

Arrive in El Paso, Texas and motor coach to Chihuahua, transfer to Sicomoro Hotel (***). Enjoy a city tour, visit the State Capitol with it’s murals, Cathedral and Quinta Luz Museum, the former home of Pancho Villa.

• Day 3 - 4 Chihuahua - Creel

Transfer to board the Copper Canyon train and arrive in Creel, transfer to Parador del la Montana (***)(meals included). Take in the mystic town with a guided stroll to Copper Canyon, the Tarahumara Indian Capital. Experience the dramatic weather changes between the upper and lower area, it’s variety of vegetation from lush pine and oak, to tropical foliage. Nearby waterfalls, and natural springs are the background for valley and rock formations which playfully resemble animals and plants.

 

• Day 5 - 6 Creel - Los MochisCopper Canyon

Train departure for Los Mochis, transfer to El Dorado Hotel (***). Renowned for it’s bountiful fishing and hunting, this lovely agricultural town lies in a rich, fertile mecca, brought to life by 90% of all Mexico’s irrigation water. Enjoy a City tour and drive to the picturesque colonial town of El Fuerte, meaning "The Fort’, built in 1610 to protect soldiers and settlers from fierce Mayo Indian raids.

  • Day 7 - 9 Los Mochis - Mazatlan
  -current weather

Depart to Mazatlan, transfer to Costa de Oro Hotel (***) for three nights stay. Relax at one of Mexico’s finest resorts, with 25km of white sandy beaches. Try the many aquatic activities, including deep-sea fishing, and enjoy the fine dining and exciting night life of the area.

• Day 10 Mazatlan

Transfer to airport for return flight home.
