River Rafting in Veracruz

 

This incredible adventure combines the tropical luscious countryside of Veracruz in the Gulf of Mexico with the exciting experience of river rafting, hiking and beautiful sightseeing in a very impressive scenery surrounded by a vast and rich vegetation.
River Rafting in VeracruzVeracruz offers exuberant mountains and magnificent rives so inviting to paddle along its rapids with small waterfalls and calm waters protected by impressive canyons covered by lush tropical vegetation.

During this week of rafting, we will stay at a village that consists of cabins made from traditional building materials such as thatched roofs and tropical wood with full bathrooms and comfortable beds. The difficulty of the Filibobos, Pescados, and Antigua rivers will accommodate rafters of the different levels from beginners to advanced.


• Day 1 Mexico City     -current weather

Arrive in Mexico City Transfer and overnight at the Aristos Hotel (***)

• Day 2 Jalcomulco, Veracruz     -current weather

Motorcoach departure to Jalcomulco Check-in at traditional Veracruz style adobe cabaņas. Welcome orientation briefing


• Days 3, 5 & 7 Jalcomulco, Veracruz

Descent to the Antigua, Filibobos rivers starting with class III sections of rivers and finalizing with the Pescados Section in the Antigua river for an exciting class IV run. During the afternoons, you will have free time to visit the traditional town of Jalcomulco and the trails of this tropical jungle environment.


• Days 4 & 6 Xico, Coatepec

Free time to explore the surrounding colonial towns of Xico and Coatepec, famous for growing some of the best Mexican coffee. In addition, a hiking tour is scheduled to the canyon of San Francisco visiting prehispanic sites.

Veracruz

• Day 8 Mexico City

Ground transfer to Mexico City Overnight at the Aristos Hotel.

• Day 9

Transfer to airport for return flight back home.
